Continuing Education Categories allow you to track CE credits, units, hours, etc. for class attendees.
Under Application > Basic Setup > CE Categories click Add Category
- Give the CE credit a name, and type, e.g. hours, units, etc.
- CE Year Start - You can define the month and day the CE year starts.
- Click the Add Category button to save for the first time when creating a category.
Any CE category you create will be available to assign to a class registration under Event Setup > Continuing Ed. You can also assign this as an individual question option (Options > CEU).
When registrants access their history in the Registrant Access Module (RAM), they will see additional options. In the RAM, click 'Continuing Education' under Options, and then [Details] next to a CE Description.
The resulting detail will apply the CE year range for that CE category when clicking [This Year Only] or [Last Year Only]. For example, if the CE year starts on July 1st, clicking [This Year Only] will return results between 7/1/2017 and 6/30/2018. Clicking [Last Year Only] will return results between 7/1/2016 and 6/30/2017. [Show All] returns all records for the CE type in the system.
