Issue and email attendance certificates or other documents so that attendees can access and print them.
How to Issue Certificates Automatically
On the Event Menu, click Reports > Forms > Custom Certificates/Letters.
To set up an event-level certificate, click Create/Edit Event Certificates.
- You can create one from scratch via "New Certificate"
- If you have already created a template in Application > Templates > Certificates/Letters that you want to use, you can click "Copy from Account" and then customize the copy for your event. Any custom Tags that you have created will be available at the event level.
- You can also copy a certificate template from another event, click "Copy From Other Event"
Certificate Issue Rules - See the article on How to Issue Certificates Automatically
Issue/Manage Certificates
If no certificates have been issued for your event, none will appear when you click "Resend/Manage Existing Certificates" from the Certificate Management Screen.
Resend/Manage Existing Certificates
Manage any certificates that have been issued.
[Issue and Email] - Available if a previously issued certificate has been revoked. Clicking Issue and Email will email the certificate notification to this registrant.
[Resend Email] - If a certificate has been issued and emailed clicking Resend Email will email the certificate notification again to this registrant.
[Revoke] - For currently issued certificates. Clicking this will revoke the certificate from this registrant.
[Issue] - This will display if a certificate was previously revoked. This will only record that the certificate was issued in the system. It does not email the certificate to the registrant.
When setting up the Certificate Issue Rule you will see that Templates created at the System level (Application > Templates > Certificates/Letters) will appear in the Certificates dropdown list. However, you can create event-level templates by choosing "Create/Edit Event Certificates" on the main Custom Certificate Management screen. You can create a new certificate, copy a template already created (Copy from Account), or copy a template from another event.
If you change a Certificate/Letter template under Application > Templates > Certificates/Letters, edits will not automatically occur to previously-issued certificates.
Print Certificates
You can also print all certificates rather than issue them digitally. This also offers a quick way to preview the certificates before issuing them.
RAM Module
Registrants can view and print issued certificates within their account. When a registrant logs into their account, they can then click on Certificates on the left hand column to see all that have been issued to them. (You may have named this link something slightly different on your account.)
After clicking certificates, the registrant can click "View" and then print the certificate or save it to their hard drive.

Manually Issue/Print Certificates (This is a legacy feature only in older accounts. Newer accounts will not see this option, but will instead use Certificate Issue Rules)
1) To issue a certificate, click on Manually Issue/Print Certificates from the Certificate Management options.
2) Click the “Issue New Certificate” button.
3) Select the certificate that you wish to issue, from the Certificate drop-down.
4) Choose the registrants who have qualified to receive a certificate, either by attendance or completing an evaluation form. You can either choose a group by status, or individuals. You can also issue based on registration responses. This allows you to issue different certificates to different types of attendees, e.g. nurse practitioners vs. RN's, or administrators vs. teachers.
5) Click "Issue/Revoke Certificate" to make it available via the Registrant Access Module, or "Email Certificate" to send a link to it via email.
If you issue a certificate by emailing it, the message will have a link to the certificate, which resides within Learning Stream. If you first issue a certificate, but later want to remove access, you can do so individually or as a group. If a registrant has been checked, they have access. Revoking them will remove the checkmark.
When you email a certificate, you will be taken to a screen to edit a message that will accompany the link to the certificate.
