This feature will allow a registrant to wait-list on options in a question with limits, then automatically be placed in the option if a seat becomes available. Updates are based on the order in which the wait-list requests were received. This order cannot be modified.
Drop-Down questions - The wait-list option does not work if the question is used as a dropdown list.
Apply a wait list to an individual question, such as a breakout session for a larger event.
- Enable the WAIT-LIST-FOR-QUESTIONS option under Application > Account > Features.
Contact Support if you do not see this option. - Create a question on the registration form with limits.
- Check the box that says "Allow Wait List for Full Options".
When registrant chooses an alternate option, they can also choose to be placed on the wait list for the preferred option.
*If a question is Required, you must make sure there is always an open option that the registrant can select if you want them to be able to successfully submit the registration form.
Reports
Registrants on question wait list can be identified under Events > Reports > Registration questions > Detail by selected option.
There is also a report in Events > Reports > Questions > Question Wait List
Communication
A default email will be sent to the registrant if they are confirmed for a wait list option. This message cannot be edited. If the integrated credit card payment option is activated for the event, a Pay Balance link will be included in the email.
Registrants can request to be on the wait list for more than one option for a question, but they will be placed in the first option that becomes available.
