Create an Event Page
Create a an event information page that contains a description and details about your event, including graphics, that links to the registration form.
How to Create an Event Page
When you choose the "Event Page" on the left menu within an event, a formatted page template appears on the screen. The template includes a series of sections you can use provide unlimited information to your registrants.
Each section can be edited, including heading, to address your unique information needs.
Each section of the event page has Tags you can insert anywhere on the page. First, position your cursor in the text editor where you want the Tag to appear then click on any Tag you see in brackets. The editor will place that Tag in the designated spot. Do not drag a tag to its location.
How to Insert an Image
To insert an image into the text editor:
1) Place your cursor where you want the image on the page.
2) Click Upload/Image Document at the bottom of the editor and content section.
3) Click Upload New Item.
4) Click Browse to find the image on your computer.
4) Once you have selected the image, click Upload Item.
5) Click Insert under the file.
When uploading a .pdf file, you are creating a link to it. Copy the link and then use the Insert Link function on the text editor toolbar to place the link on the page. Do not simply copy and paste the link into the text editor.
Preview Event Page
Click this link to see the event page as a registrant would see it. If a popup blocker is activated on your computer, you must temporarily override it in order to preview the page.
You can paste text from other applications into the Learning Stream text editor, however, it's best to make changes after the text has been pasted into the text editor. This will make it easier to edit your text. If you have a typed document you want to copy, paste it into the text editor as plain text. Then make any style changes.
You can highlight the text in the editor box, then click the Clear Formatting button provided:
This will strip out any formatting which may cause issues when it's converted to HTML. You can re-format once the information is in this TinyMCE text editor.
Use Shift+Enter to add a blank row between text, links, and images if hitting enter does not produce the desired result.
If you are unsure about how to use a text editor, please visit the Using Text Editors help page.
Event Page Templates
Interface > Event Page Templates
Create event page templates. This is the event information page prior to the registration form describing an event.
Any templates you create are then available for selection in a dropdown list only when you click the Create New Event button to create a new event.
Existing events, and copies made from existing events, are NOT affected by changes made to these templates.
Responsive Layout - Editor View
Single Page Layout - Editor View
An event page template, which is only the page describing the event, is not the same as creating a full event template, which would contain everything needed for copying other events.
