If you want to limit access to an event or to limit registration for it, consider one of these options to make it private:
- Under Registration Form > Additional Options enter a code in the Registration Access Code field. This will automatically add a new field to that event's registration form. Registrants will have to enter the code correctly in order to complete registration.
- Upload a validation list based on name, email address, membership number or other criteria drawn from answers on the registration form. Limit registration to those persons on the validation list.
- If you only want certain persons to see the event/registration, set it up and make it active as you normally would. However, do not select any categories for it that are in turn linked to a calendar or event listing. Once the event is active, you can provide access to the direct event URL located under Event Setup > General (link at the bottom of the page) via Invitation, email or other means.
- Limit registrants to those with a specific email extension, such as Learning Stream.com. Create the email filter in Application > Advanced > Email Filters. The list of filters will appear in an event under Event Setup > Advanced.
- Create security filters that limit access to a range of IP addresses. These can be created in Application > Integration > Security Filters, then assigned on the Advanced section of Event Setup.
