Credit applied to a Registrant Database record
If applied to a Registrant DB account, no account ID or PIN will be generated. Instead, credit will be taken from the credit account when the person logs in to register for an event that accepts credit.
The credit will appear in the person’s DB record under “Credit”, but will not appear in Credit Accounts under Admin > Credit. Only credit applied via the Credit Account option, and not the Registrant Database, will appear there.
Credits taken from a Registrant Database account will appear in the Comments column of the Financial Detail report under Reports > Financial and will show the credit was taken from the registrant’s database account.
Automatic Credit: If a registrant cancels, credit can be automatically reapplied to the person’s account. This applies only to Database Registrations, in which no account ID or PIN is required when credit is applied. If the registration belongs to a dependent/child record, the credit will be applied to the primary/parent database account.
If you use the Registrant Database (registrants must have an ID and password), you will see a third option in Event Setup > Advanced that says “Apply payment to the registrant's account”.
Credit Data and Reports
- To see credit history and data, such as credit purchased and used, as well as account IDs and PINs, go to Reports > Financial > Credit Account.
- Credit statements can be emailed or printed for purchasers.
- Credit used will appear in the Comments column of the Financial Detail Report in Reports > Financial.
A registrant will choose a second payment option if the amount due is more than the credit available.
