Video Learning Plan
Set up in Admin > Learning Plans
Start with “Add Learning Plan”
Later, these settings will be available via [Edit] for each Learning Plan created:
- Do not lock results
- When requirement(s) are met
If choosing to lock requirements, no additional learner actions will be added to the plan’s results once its requirements are completed. A learner meets a requirement for a class if his status is Attended within the class.
Requirements
Priorities can be set if there is more than one level of requirements; requirements fall into three types:
1. Number of Events within a Category. Example: A learner must complete three classes during the calendar year within the leadership series category.
2. Number of CEU Credits. Example: A learner must earn three continuing education hours within one year of her hire date.
3. Specific Event Code. Example: Classes or types of classes can be assigned event codes, such as course numbers. Example: A learner must complete at least one class with an assigned code for management courses. This could be another requirement beyond the first two examples.
A Learning Plan may require a learner to meet multiple requirement levels, such as completing three classes within a category/course type; three CEUs; and at least one course with a specified event code.
Assignment
Any individual in the Learning Stream database can be assigned to a Learning Plan. Or groups can be assigned based on responses to a database question. For example, an administrator can choose the group “division” and then filter for the Human Resources division.
The Learning Stream administrator can then assign the entire Human Resources division, or individuals within the division, to a Learning Plan.
Further, the administrator can set time constraints such as the calendar year for everyone. Another option is: Set time constraints based on a different date for each learner, such as a hire date. That will be possible if the hire date is part of the learner’s record in the database.
Once individuals are assigned to a Learning Plan, an administrator can edit time constraints. An admin can further check plan progress via the [Details] link. Further, an admin can use “Recalc” to ensure details are current for a learner.
Learning Access
Learners can access their Learning Plan through the learner portal aka Registrant Access Module (RAM). That can be activated in Application > Database > Registrant Access Module.
Learning Plan Updates Available via RAM
Application > Database > Registrant Access Module > Menu Options
If your account includes the Learning Plan module, you can now make status reports available to students/attendees via the Registrant Access Module (RAM).
